10 Al-shabaab Militants Killed in Jubbaland Air Strike

GOOBJOOG NEWS | JUBBALAND: Somali National Army (SNA) together with the United States Air Force (USAF have neutralized 10 Al-Shabab terrorists attempting to gather near the border between Lower and Middle Jubba regions of Jubbaland State.

The operation thwarted the militants’ plan to launch attacks against civilians and security forces in the areas and is the second successful counterterrorism operation in the region this week.

Earlier this week, a similar operation targeted a high-ranking Al-Shabab leader in Middle Jubba, further crippling the terrorist organization’s leadership structure.

These recent successes come amidst intensified efforts by the Somali government and its international partners to dismantle Al-Shabab’s networks and combat its violent extremism.
