UPDATE: COVID 19 cases hits 1,421 in Somalia

The federal government of Somalia confirms 64 new COVID 19 cases on Sunday evening bringing the total number of coronavirus infected people to 1,421 patients.

The new Coronavirus cases reported within the last 24 hours was the third largest number since the first pandemic recorded in Somalia

According to health ministry data, Banadir region confirmed 33 new cases,7  southwest, 16 in Somaliland while Galmudug reported 8 patients. The total recovered number is 152 while death stands 56 cases

Despite government efforts to curb the diseases, the aid agencies are also making effective progress to reduce the risk of COVID 19 which is widely spreading in the country.
