Benadir governor opens new police station in Shibis district
The governor of Banadir region and mayor of Mogadishu Hassan Mohamed Hussein Mungaab opened new police station in Shibis district of Benadir region where there no were police stations before.
Speaking during the opening ceremony the governor affirmed said that the new police station will be a good symbol of the presence of the administration in the district and will take part strengthening the security in the area.
He stated that the opening is implemented by the administration of Benadir region and funded by the USAID.
He reiterated that the facility has all facilities required for a typical police station in the region.
The governor added that the police station consist of two cells, a well equipped office for the commander, toilets and all other requirements for a police station such as telecommunications.
Mungaab said that within the 8 months that the district commissioner Abdifatah Noor Ali was in the office, he completed four of his administration departments, a police station, new tarmac roads.
The governor called upon residents to pay the tax and collaborate with the administration in tightening the security of the district.
Lastly, governor Mungaab promised that they would soon open health centres that offers free medical services, schools and other social amenities in Benadir region particularly Shibis district.
