Five Al-Shabaab Militants Executed in Kismayo For Murders
GOOBJOOG NEWS | KISIMAYO: Five Al-Shabaab members who were found guilty by a military court of being behind a spate of killings in the coastal city of Kismayo were executed Tuesday.
The five faced the firing squad following a ruling by a military court which declared them guilty of various offences related to killings in Kismayo.
The court held that the five were responsible for the killing of Sheikh Omar Mohamed Dahir, Sheikh Abdullahi Dalab and Ugas Adan Mohamed Gedi, all of whom were well-known and respected clan elders in Jubaland.
The court added that the five had carried out several bomb attacks in Kismayo.
