Abdirahman Abdishakur is finally free
Abdirahman Abdishakur has been released last night before midnight coincidentally the same time he was arrested 3 days ago in his residential house in Mogadishu.
His emancipation is reported to have been involved by high government officials including regional presidents as well as Banadir governor, politicians and Somali traditional elders who initiated a covert vigorous campaign which culminated in his release.
He appeared in court 2 days ago after 48 hours following his arrest and he is expected to face the same court this morning once again where the government will have to provide their supporting evidence for the crimes he is accused of which up to now have not been clearly stated since the attorney general requested 5 more days to complete their investigations but the court permitted them only 24 hours which expires today.
Abdishakur who was a former minister and a presidential contender, was seen injured on his right hand and having a sling over his shoulder which he sustained it during his arrest that turned deadly where allegedly 6 people were killed after a crossfire started between his armed staff and the federal security agents.
