The administration of Ahlu Suna Wal Jamaa in Gedo region criticized the visit of Gedo regional commissioner Mohamed Abdi Kaliil to the port city of Kismayo, the administrative headquarters of interim Juba administration on Monday.
Sheikh Al-Ansar, senior officials of Ahlu Suna in the region said that the governor’s trip to Kismayo is against the will of the people in the region
Sheikh Al-Ansari also said that Ahlu Suna is a separate entity from Gedo administration adding that it will not be affected by the governor’s decision to back Interim Juba administration led by Ahmed Madobe.
On the other hand Mohamed Abdi Kaliil speaking during meeting with top leaders of Juba administration said that he has tirelessly worked hard to persuade the people of Gedo region join and support Juba administration so as to get rid of the parallel regional administrations in the region.
He urged the federal government of Somalia to support the ongoing efforts meant to complete the administration.
