GOOBJOOG NEWS| LOWER JUBA: Al-Shabaab executed two people Wednesday afternoon in a public square in Kamsumu area of ​​the Lower Jubba region, south of Somalia.

The Al-Qaida linked group synonymous with public executions executed by a firing squad. Abdullahi Oyow, 20, accused of child molestation and Abdullahi Mohamed, 24, who was convicted of being a Jubbaland soldier.

According to local sources, the two were executed in broad daylight in an arena of more than 100 people, a tactic used by Al-Shabaab to instill fear in its would-be opponents.

The incident happened barely a day after the group executed a suspected witch and a Jubaland security official in Jamaamne, Lower Juba region.
