Al-Shabaab Financer Office in Mudug Surrenders to Police

GOOBJOOG NEWS/MUDUG: The chief finance officer of the terrorist group Al-Shabaab in Mudug region surrendered to government side on Monday.

Officials in Mudug region confirmed that Abbas al-Amin gave up to the police in Hobyo district amid intense pressure from government led operations.

Police said Al-Amin has escaped from Al-Shabaab control before surrendering to the police in the district.

Several Al-Shabaab members from different ranks have surrendered to the government in recent months as operations against the militants intensified.
