Al-Shabaab spy jailed for ten years in Mogadishu

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: A military court in Mogadishu has sentenced a man accused of being a member of the outlawed terrorist group Al-Shabaab to ten years in jail.

According to court documents, Yusuf Hassan Ibrahim has been a member of Al-Shabaab since 2019 working on a monthly of $130.

He was accused of spying on the Somali National Army for Al-Shabaab. He was arrested on January 19 this year while in possession of a plastic bag containing millet and a pistol.
