Al-Shabaab Suffer Casualties in Somali Army Night Raid

GOOBJOOG NEWS | BAKOOL: Somali National Army (SNA) troops carried out a planned overnight operation in the Moora-Gaabeey area, about 37 km from Xuddur, killing at least three Al-Shabaab militants and wounding more than ten others, military officials said.

Soldiers from the SNA’s 9th Battalion under the 60th Division also seized weapons, ammunition and other equipment used by the group during the raid.

Colonel Mohamed Yariis Adan, commander of the 60th Division, said that the operation forms part of continuing efforts to degrade Al-Shabaab’s presence in Bakool and improve security for civilians.
