Al-shabab attacks government bases in Bulo-Marer

A heavy clash between Federal government forces and Al-shabab occurred in Bulo Marer district last night.

The fight embarked after Al-shabab attacked the bases of government forces in the town, the clash that has been going on for an hour has terrified the people in the district.

Witnesses say the sides used heavy and light weapons and sounds of bullets was heard all over the town and nearby areas.

On the other hand in connection Al-shabab’s attack on the government bases the security forces have arrested dozens of youth after security crackdown in Bulo-Marer district earlier on Wednesday.

Bulo-Marer is one of the districts in Lower Shabelle region Al-shabab has lost to the joint forces after the second phase of operation Indian ocean was launched.
