Al-Shabab shot dead Hirshabelle regional state MP in Bala’ad district

Reports indicate Al-Shabaab fighters have shot dead Hirshabelle regional state member of parliament, Mohamed Mohamud Siyad on Sunday.

The incident confirmed by close family members who were at the scene during the attack.

The lawmaker left Jowhar town through Bala’ad district travelling by the public service vehicle during the incident.

Since the local and international flights suspension, all state government officials have been facing movement restriction so far Al-Shabab militias target government officials.
