Allied force retake Adan Yabal in Middle Shabelle as Al-Shabaab flee
Amisom and Somali army have retaken Adan Yabal locality in Middle Shabelle few days after Al-Shabaab wrested control, military sources have said.
A Somali commander in the region said the allied forces took over the town without any resistance after Al-Shabaab fighters left the town following reports of advancing troops.
The allied troops pushed Al-Shabaab few days ago from the locality before they returned after the forces retreated. But the military source said they now have total control of the area.
The takeover adds to the allied force’s victories over Shabaab in Middle and Lower Shabelle regions which are also backed by US intelligence.
