Allied forces launch security operations in El-bur

Somali government forces backed by AMISOM troops have launched operations to beef up the security of El-Bur town amid some of Somali and Galmudug officials are heading the town.

Hundreds of Soldiers are seen in the streets of the town as security forces patrolling in the different suburbs of El-bur town.

Abdi Hassan Mohamed, a Somali military official in the town said the security forces were deployed in the town and its surrounding areas to tighten the security.

“The soldiers were deployed in and outside of the town, they reached as far as 20 km outside in order to beef the security of El-bur town” he said.

Somali government forces backed by African Union troops in Somalia on Wednesday launched security operations in several villages and rural areas near El-bur district in Galgadud region.
