Allied forces retake Barire locality in Lower Shabelle

Allied forces Monday took control of Barire locality in Lower Shabelle region following a military offensive which involved use of attack helicopters.

Reports indicate that allied forces controlled the village after Alshabab fighters completely fled from their positions before the retreated back again. Sources in the area say the Somali and Amisom troops vacated their positions later paving way for Al-Shabaab return

The forces have not commented on the matter yet.
