Allied Forces Shell Al-Shabaab Bases in Middle Shabelle and Galgadud Regions

GOOBJOOG NEWS/GALGADUD: Allied forces have bombarded Al-Shabaab hideouts in the Middle Shabelle and Galgadud regions killing several militants, military sources said.

According to the sources, the forces shelled several Al-Shabaab bases in Ruunnirgood and Eeldheer districts in coordinated offensives against the militants.

There was not however any report about the number of casualties.

US Airforce through the African Command has mainly carried out airstrikes against Al-Shabaab but in recent times, Turkish forces have also been known to offer aerial support to the Somali National Army.
