Alshabab kills two more people in Tiyeglow District of Bakool region
Alshabab militants has executed two more people in Tiyeglow district of Bakool region in South west state of Somalia, one day after it executed two Somali soldiers and abducted their families.
The victims were snatched from their homes overnight and executed early hours of Thursday. Residents told reporters in Mogadishu.
The militants who took the control of the district on Wednesday after Ethiopian and Somali troops abandoned precipitated the flee of many residents in the district.
A Federal Member Parliament Mohamed Isak Afralle, who spoke yesterday to Goobjoog after Alshabab took the control of Tiyeglow described how Alshabab killed two Somali soldiers and abducted their families.
“Al-Shabaab intercepted the vehicle carrying two Somali soldiers and their families in an area between El Ade and Tiyeglow. They killed the two men and abducted their wives and children,” said Afralle.
South West state forces and Somali Army is preparing major assault to retake Tiyeglow from Alshabab fighters. Goobjoog has learnt.
Alshabab militants carried out a number of High profile attacks in Kenya and Somalia this week, including suicide attack on African Peace Keeping Mission base in Beledwane and a hotel in Mandera town of Kenya, which they killed 12 people.
