Amid Water Shortages, one Village in Gedo Gets First Water Well

The residents of Wadajir, a village in Gedo region are so happy to have their first water well amid looming crises of water shortages in the country which claims many lives, particularly in Gedo.
Mohamed Hilowle, one of the village elders told Goobjoog that the water well will do away their daily struggle to fetch water from far places from home and reduce the risk involved.
Residents and aid workers who implemented the water well were so amassed about the amount of water it produced “it’s like a fountain” said one resident who was in a jubilant mood.
Many villages and localities in semi-arid region of Gedo are facing server water shortages and the new well could attract more people to Wadajir.
