Prominent elder killed in Kismayu
Armed men gunned down a prominent elder Sunday night in Kismayu adding to two the number of elders killed in the country in one week.
Witnesses said Saud Abdullahi was struck by several bullets as he walked on the streets in Kismayu Sunday evening. The assailants left the scene immediately, the witnesses added.
The killing of Abdullahi comes barely a week after another elder, Ibrahim Mohamed was killed in a similar version in Afgooye last week. Another elder, Sultan Rashid Duure Omar was shot dead on August 1 in Kismayu.
