 Anti-Somaliland Demonstrations Rock Buuhodle town

People residing in Buuhoodle town have staged protest against the administration of the breakaway Somaliland, on Tuesday.

The protestors were chanting “ we are completely fed up with political machinations engineered by the Somaliland administration in Hargeisa town”

This was the unanimous decision by hundreds of citizens in the town during demonstrations in protest against incursions into their land by Sonmaliland forces the latest of which resulted in the arrest of well known –people in the town.

Meanwhile intense military movement is reported from the town and its surrounding area.

Abdirahman Abdullahi Ahmed, commander leading the soldiers who carrying out military exercise in areas near Buhoodle town told Goobjoog News that their motive is to flush out Somaliland soldiers from the area.

Somaliland, a breakaway region in northern Somalia has declared a unilateral independence from the rest of Somalia in 1991, however, its attempts to gain an international recognition hasn’t so far accomplished success.
