Appellate Court in Mogadishu Acquits Two Ministry of Labour Officials

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Two officials from the Ministry of Labour and Social Services were this morning by an appeals court in Mogadishu following their sentencing by a lower court.

The Banaadir Regional Appeals Court cleared Abdullahi Mohamed Ali and Mohamed Adde Mukhtar who served as directors in the Ministry of Labour and Social Services.

The court however, upheld the verdict against Abdiwahid Muhsin Ibrahim, also an employee in the Ministry of Labour and Social Services. Ibrahim was sentenced to three years for corruption-related charges.
