Armed men gun down government official in Hodan district, Mogadishu

Armed men have shot dead a government official at KPP area in Hodan district, eye witnesses and family have said.

The man identified as Hassan Omar Ganay was shot dead by unidentified armed men who fled the scene immediately. The family told Goobjoog News the deceased was working for the Ministry of Planning. The motive of the killing could not be immediately established.

Such targeted killings have become a common trend in Mogadishu in recent months.
