Armed men wounded senior administration officer in Kismayo

Armed men suspected to be Al-shabab members injured  Mohamed Sugow a senior administration officer after he was attacked at his home in Kismayo’s  Shaqaalaha village.

the councilor of Shaqalaha neighborhood in Kismayo has been injured after he was attacked at his home by fighters from Al Shabaab militants.

One of his close relatives who spoke to the media on the condition of anonymity said Al Shabaab fighters attacked the official’s home overnight whom he said were aiming to assassinate the official, but Interim Jubba Administration security forces  rescued him .

Reports further indicates that, in a separate incident an Al Shabaab fighter died after IJA security forces attacked Al Shabaab fighters who were trying to plant a road-side bomb in the city.

Gabobe Hassan Barre Interim Jubba Administration security chief, confirmed the incident saying his forces are now tracking down the rest of the group, as Radio Bar-kulan reported.
