At least 30 Al-Shabaab Militants Killed in SNA Operation in Lower Shabelle

GOOBJOOG NEWS | LOWER SHABELLE:  At least 30 Al-Shabaab militants have been killed in a joint operation by the Somali National Army (SNA) and its International partners in Lower Shabelle region.

According to the Federal Government of Somalia’s Information Ministry, the SNA forces targeted an Al-Shabaab base in Baghdad and Baldoska areas in an intelligence based operation.

Somali National Army commander Brigadier General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyiddin
who addressed units of the Somali Armed Forces Tuesday stated that preparations to launch the next phase of the offensive against Al-Shabab fighters was in top gear and urged the troops to make a final push to eradicate the group from the country.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has declared total war against the terror group promising to liberate all parts of the country from Al-Shabaab control and restore peace for the Somali people and the citizens of the region.
