At least eight injured as SNA, Haram’ad paramilitary unit clash in Mogadishu
GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: Forces from the Turkish trained Haram’ad paramilitary unit and the Somali National Army engaged in a fierce fire exchange in Mogadishu’s Banaadir area injuring at least eight people this morning.
Three civilians and five officers from both units were injured in the fighting which has been reported to be a result of a dispute over a piece of land in the area.
Among the injured is Haram’ad deputy commander Abdihamid Abdullahi Fanah. There was no immediate comment from the authorities.
