At least two people injured in mortar shell attack at Mogadishu airport

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: At least two people were injured when mortar shells landed within the compound of Aden Adde Airport in Mogadishu Saturday morning.

Sources said one mortar shell landed inside the airport while two others landed outside.

There was however no information from airport authorities about the incident but operations were not affected, other sources said.

The militant group Al-Shabaab has in the past claimed responsibility for mortar shells attacks on the airport and the adjacent UN compound.
