Balanballe administration call on residents to end the clashes in the region
Balanballe district administration of Galgadud region has called the residents to end the clan clashes in the region
Hussein Liban, Balanballe district commissioner, told Goobjoog that they are trying to stop the clan clashes in the area and bring to the table of negotiations between the side fighting.
“We are unhappy with what is going on in Balanballe. We call upon those involved to stop. People should live peace and harmony in that region” he said.
He also described Balanballe intellectuals are playing an important role to end the clan fighting between the two communities brothers living in the region.
Nearly 10 people have been killed and several others injured in clan-based clashes yesterday at Balnballe district of Galgaduud region.
There is still tension between the sides of the conflict, though there are also ongoing efforts to halt the fight.
