Banadir Regional Governor Launches Construction of Road Project in Mogadishu
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Banadir Regional Governor and Mayor of Mogadushu Yusuf Hussein Jimale Thursday launched the construction of the road connecting Dabka and the Port of Mogadishu via Uganda Road.
Governor Jimale said the construction of the road is aimed at facilitating smoother transit and efficient transportation of goods.
“The Via Uganda road is a lifeline for the community and a channel for commerce. This development is a testament to our commitment to enhancing the city’s infrastructure and boosting economic activity,” he said.
The Governor further stated that the construction of roads is progressing rapidly in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu and that that the local government will soon launch the construction of the main road that connects Dabka intersection to Bakahara intersection which is posing a challenge to users.
He further has urged the Somali community to participate in the beautification, cleanliness and protection of public places, starting from the constructions of roads that are the backbone development of the town.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Security and Politics ,Deputy Governor of General Affairs of Banadir Region and the Governors of Wabari and Hamar Jajab Districts.
