Banadir Governor Praises National Forces’ Efforts in War Against Al-Shabaab
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Banadir Region Governor who is also the Mayor of Mogadishu has commended government forces for their commitment in their ongoing war against the Al-Shabaab militants.
While addressing government forces operating in Garasbaaley District in Mogadishu, Mayor Madaale said the sacrifices made by the soldiers has secured the lives and property of Somali citizens.
He paid tribute to four security force members who lost their lives while thwarting an attack involving an explosive-laden vehicle intended to harm civilians and assured that the families of these fallen heroes would receive support.
As part of the motivation and recognition efforts, Governor Madaale presented a gift of 20 goats and other equipment to the security forces in a move aimed at boosting their morale.
The visit was also attended by several officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Security and Politics for Banadir Region, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Diriye, Commander of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Banadir Region, Mr. Abdifatah Shawaeye, and local district commissioners.
Their presence underscores the importance of collaboration and coordination among security branches to maintain peace and stability in the region.
