Banadir: Regional court sentences a murderer to death penalty
Banadir regional court has given a death penalty to a man named Said Haji Hussein who killed another man on 13th October 2014 in Karan district using knife.
Judge Hashi Elmi Nur in Banadir regional court who reached the judgment during the court session has declared that the court found enough evidences to rule out the death penalty.
“ Banadir regional court has managed to sentence Said Hassan to death penalty for killing late Ahmed abdi Osoble after receiving evidences from eye witness account” The judge said.
The judge has not stated whether the sentenced man can take appeal or not from the judgment.
Somali military court has recently sentenced death penalty to individuals accused of carrying out planned assassinations in Mogadishu and surrounding areas.
