BREAKING: Huge blasts rock UN gate in Somalia capital, Mogadishu

Heavy explosions have hit the entrance of UN headquarters near Mogadishu’s Aden Adde Airport and smoke could be seen rising from the area as its impact could be felt as far away as KM5.

More details were not immediately available about the attack, which bears the hallmarks of Al-Shabab group fighting the Somali government and the African Union forces in the country.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
