Breaking News: Somali president reaches Jowhar to open state formation conference

A high-level delegation led by the president of the federal republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has reached Jowhar.

The president was welcomed by high-ranking officials and national-flag waving residents who turned out in a large numbers to receive the delegation.

Somali president Hassan is expected to open long-awaited conference to form a federal state for Hiiraan and middle Shabelle regions.

Jowhar, which lies 90 Kilometers north-west of Mogadishu is hectic and got ready to host the state formation conference, with special security forces deployed in the town.
