Building collapses on residential home killing two in Kiambu

GOOBJOOG NEWS|NAIROBI: A six-storey building under construction collapsed last night in Ruaka, Kiambu County, Kenya, claiming the lives of two people.

Three more survivors have been rushed to hospital by emergency response teams.

The building, said to have collapsed over poor workmanship, fell on a neighboring residential home, whose occupants were sleeping at the time of the incident. 

This is the second building to come down in the country this week, following the collapse of another building under construction in Kasarani, Nairobi, which killed at least three people.
