Buloburde upgraded airport reopened 

Bulaburde airport was today reopened after it has undergone a major upgrading which took months.

A 1.8km long runway was constructed effectively giving the airport the capacity to handle larger passenger and cargo.

Hiiraan politicians led by Hiiraan governor Yussuf Dabageed and traditional elders have attended the airport reopening ceremony which place at the airport.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, Hiiraan governor stressed that this is an achievement reached by the people buloburde town.

‘’This is a step forward to the town’s development and shows how we are all committed to build the important infrastructures of our area.’’ He said.

Buloburde is the designated capital city of the upcoming state for Hiiraan and Middle Shabele regions.
