Ceremony To Welcome Galmudug State held Nairobi

 

Well organized ceremony to welcome the newly formed Galmudug sate which its first president elected earlier this month was held Nairobi.

The ceremony was organized by Somali Diaspora community living in Nairobi the capital of Kenya.

It was attended by traditional elders, politicians, women organizations and members of civil society who all welcomed the elections held in Adado town and congratulated the elected president Abdikarim Hussein Guled and his vice president, Mohamed Hashim Arabay.

Some elders who spoke at the ceremony have commended Adado residents and their leaders for their commitment and how they hosted the state formation conference which resulted Gal-Mudug state to born.

On 4th this month, Gal-Mudug state Parliamentarians elected Abdikarim Hussein Guled as president but the the naive leaders is facing many challenges including Ahlu-Sunna and Puntland which declared that they will not recognize him as regional president.

1st July the group publicised that it has nominated president for areas under its rule whereby Somali central state formation conference spearheaded by Somali government, is progressing towards its final stages.

On 10th last month, Somali moderate Islamist group, Ahlu-Sunna Waljamaa, had vacated Galnudug state formation conference.
