Chief Justice Opens Quarterly Forum to Strengthen Judiciary
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal Government of Somalia’s Chief Justice, Bashe Yusuf Ahmed, on Wednesday opened the Somali Judges Forum Conference in Mogadishu, a quarterly gathering aimed at advancing judicial reforms and strengthening the country’s court system.
The forum brings together senior judicial leaders to assess the needs of judges, review sector-wide challenges and evaluate progress made in improving the administration of justice. Officials say the meeting is a key platform for shaping reforms, enhancing court operations and reinforcing the independence of the judiciary.
Attendees include the heads of the Regional and Appeal Courts in Banadir, representatives from Federal Member State judiciaries, and judges from multiple levels across the country.
The conference is expected to end with recommendations designed to boost judicial performance and expand access to justice nationwide.
