Clan clashes in Abudwak resolved
The tribal clashes that embarked in Abudwak district of Galgadud region has been resolved after traditional elders and members of parliament who reached the area tried to end the tensions.
Nur Farah Jama, member of federal parliament told Goobjoog FM that a lasting solution has been reached in the recent tribal clashes in Abudwak district that killed more ten people.
He stated that traditional elders and intellectuals from the area held talks with the representatives of the clan militias and agreed on immediate ceasefire and removal of armed militias from conflict zones.
Mr. Jamaa added that the two sides agreed that anyone who breach the new agreement will face tough punishment, he urged local people in Galgadud region to collaborate and engage in developmental programs in the region.
Many people were killed after two clan militia fought in Abudwak.
