Clash between joint forces and Al-shabab embarks in Bulo-Marer district
Heavy clash between Al-shabab and federal government forces embarked in Bulo- Marer district of Lower Shabelle region on Friday night.
The fighting started after Al-shabab attacked federal government forces and AMISOM bases in the town.
At least three civilians were wounded during the fight between the joint forces and Al-shabab in the district as eye witness confirmed to Goobjoog FM.
Our correspondent in the region reports that the security forces launched dawn security operations to pursue the attackers.
The ongoing security operations has interfered with the public transport and business activities in the area came to standstill as most of the people stayed indoors.
Al-shabab declined to give immediate comment about the clash with the joint forces.
Bulo Marer is one of the districts recently captured by Somali national army together with African Union peace-keeping troops after the second phase in offensive military against Al-shabab launched.
