Council of Ministers approves the appointment of the Chief of Correctional Service
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The weekly meeting of the Federal Government of Somalia Cabinet Ministers chaired by Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre has approved the appointment of the commander of the Correctional Force and other crucial policies for the country.
The new commander, General Mahamad Abdirahim Aden was proposed by the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs due to his experience in correctional services and previously served as a Member of Parliament, and commander of the police force in Bay region among other roles.
At the same time, the minister’s council passed the Arms Control Act, the Policy on the procedure for the preparation of legislative proposals, and the National Policy for the Somali Diaspora.
The council also approved agreements of mutual understanding related to investment and youth development affairs to be implemented by the Federal Government which include; a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the fields of Investment, Knowledge & Skills Development reached by the governments of Somalia, Sudan Qatar.
