COVID19: Ministry of Health confirms 51 new cases

Somalia’s COVID 19 cases continuously keep rising for the past two weeks since the disease reported in March.

Minister of Health Fawzia Abikar has confirmed 51 new COVID-19 cases of in which 37 patients are from Benadir region while 12 from Puntland plus 2 from Galnudug regional state in the last 24 hours.

Puntland state Health Minister,  Jama Farah Hassan has confirmed an increase in the number of people tested positive for Covid19 in the region.

The minister declared that Puntland health authorities had tested 20 people including men and women and that resulted in 12 people positive for COVID 19 within a day.

The total number of the virus cases in the country exceeded to 722 cases leaving 32 patient died and 44 patients have recovered since the diseases reported in Somalia.
