Danaab Commandos Kill Over 30 Al-Shabaab Militants in Jubbaland Region

GOOBJOOG NEWS | JUBBALAND: More than 30 Al-Shabaab militants have been killed in an operation conducted by the Danaab commandos targeting the group’s hideout in Jiimay, Bangeni, and Bandar Jadid along the Jubba River.  

According to sources privy to the operation, top leaders of the militant group are among those killed with several others wounded and others arrested to assist government forces in investigations.

The Danaab forces backed by Jubbaland regional troops have been conducting targeted operations in the region that have seen most areas formerly under the control of the militant group liberated.  

The Federal Government of Somalia has vowed to continue its operations against the Al-Shabaab militants in various parts of the country to ensure complete eradication of the militants from all parts of Somalia.
