Deadly road accident leaves two dead, one injured in Nugal Region

GOOBJOOG NEWS/GAROWE: A deadly road accident that took place last night has sadly claimed the lives of two people and injured one other.

The accident took place between Garowe, the capital of Puntland and Birta Dheer village in Nugal region in a place called Rabaable Hill.

While speaking to the media, Nugal Regional Traffic Police Commandant said that the accident occurred after  a truck and a car met in a head on collision.

Two men were killed and a woman was injured in the crash, both passengers in the ill-fated car. The injured were rushed to the nearest hospital in Garowe.

Several accidents have occurred on many roads in Nugal Region resulting in injuries and deaths mainly due to overspeeding and a pathetic road network.
