Death toll in coup attempt in Turkey rises to 90, more than 1000 injured
A total of 90 people and another 1,154 injured following the coup attempt that rocked Turkey early Saturday, the state run news agency Anadolu has said.
Reports from Turkey also note that more about 1,500 military personnel who are linked to the attempted coup have been arrested with another two hundred surrendering to police loyal to President Tayyip Erdogan.
A faction of the military attempted to overthrow the government late on Friday, using tanks and helicopters and blocking bridges and taking over some media outlets.
