Death toll in Mogadishu twin attacks rise to 30
The death toll in the twin terror attacks in Mogadishu Friday has risen to 30, medical sources have said as some of those admitted succumbed to their injuries.
The city’s main hospital, Medina received 27 bodies Friday night while two others succumbed to injuries bringing the total number of deaths to 29. Dr. Abdulkadir Hussein also told Goobjoog News the hospital also admitted 12 injured people.
In Daaru-Shifa hospital, Dr. Mohamed Abas said 15 cases of injured people were recorded while six were admitted. “We discharged 8 who suffered minor injuries while one severe case was transferred to other hospitals,” said Dr. Abas.
Our correspondents also documented 7 cases of injured people in Digfer Hospital while in Keysaney Hospital in northern Mogadishu, 8 injured people were treated. Ummah hospital received 16 cases. Two of them were transferred to Digfer, two others to Keysaney while 12 were admitted. One death was also recorded.
Records from the five hospital indicate 57 people were injured.

Five Al-Shabaab fighters were killed by security forces in the second attack targeting the presidential palace.
Mogadishu Mayor Abdirahman Yarisow said majority of those who died in the first attack near the intelligence headquarters were youngsters heading home from the nearby Liddo Beach.
