Deputy Army Chief Urges Intensified Operations During Hiiraan Frontline Visit
GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: The Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the Somali National Army, Abdullahi Cirro, has called for intensified military operations during a visit to frontline troops in the Hiiraan region.
Cirro visited forces stationed in the Teedaan area, where he was received by the commander of the 27th Division, Ali Cageey, along with other senior officers.
Addressing troops, the deputy commander urged soldiers to step up efforts to liberate remaining areas under militant control, emphasizing discipline, resilience, and operational focus, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
The visit comes as government forces continue sustained offensives across central Somalia aimed at reclaiming territory and strengthening security.
Military officials said the engagement boosted troop morale, with soldiers reaffirming their commitment to ongoing operations to restore stability in the region.
