Deputy district commissioner in Gedo ‘severely’ injured in bomb explosion

GOOBJOOG NEWS|GEDO: The second deputy commissioner of Burdhubo district in Gedo region Nuh Hassan Daud suffered severe injuries but lost his two sons following a bomb explosion at his residence, sources in the town have said.

Another child who was in the next house was injured as the explosion reverberated through the town. Aden Hassan a resident of the area told Goobjoog News the deputy district commissioner was severely injured and is expected to be flown to Mogadishu for specialised treatment.

There was no immediate claim by Al-Shabaab.
