Deputy Planning Minister in Kuwait for the Arab API 2025 Summit

GOOBJOOG NEWS | MOGADISHU: Federal government of Somalia’s Deputy Planning Minister Mohamed Abdulkadir is in Kuwait for the the 2025 Board of Trustees meeting of the Arab Planning Institute.

The Deputy Planning Minister, alongside his delegation participated in the session which included the unveiling of the Government Spending Index for Arab countries, a key tool to assess and improve financial transparency and efficiency across the region.

Deputy Minister Abdulkadir also held high-level talks with his regional counterparts to discuss strategies for fostering sustainable development.

Abdulkadir also held a bilateral meeting with API Director General Abdalla Shami, focusing on strengthening the institute’s technical and strategic support for Somalia’s development goals.

He emphasized Somalia’s commitment to enhancing collaboration with regional institutions like the API to accelerate the country’s economic and development priorities.

This participation reflects Somalia’s active engagement in regional initiatives that align with its national development agenda.
