Deputy PM Jama in Jowhar to Assess Security, Humanitarian Situation
GOOBJOOG NEWS | JOWHAR: Federal government of Somalia’s deputy prime minister Salah Ahmed Jama accompanied by ministers and other government officials are in Johwar, Hirshabelle State on Middle Shabelle region to assess the security and humanitarian situation in the region, and launch the Sabuun Dam project.
The prime minister’s delegation welcomed by HirShabelle Regional Government president Ali Abdullahi Hussein Ali Guudlawe and escorted to the presidential palace for a special meeting.
“The President of the Government of Hirshabelle, Mr. Ali Abdullahi Hussein welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister of the federal government of Somalia Salah Ahmed Jama and his delegation at the airport,” a statement posted on the official website of the Regional Government Presidency reads.
This visit underscores the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and addressing the needs of the local population.
The Sabuun Dam project is expected to significantly enhance water management and agricultural productivity in the region, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of Hirshabelle State.
