Diarrhea outbreak in El-adde locality kills nine people

At least nine people mostly children died due to outbreak of diarrhea in El-Adde locality 75 kilometres to Beledweyne district, the headquarters of Hiran region.

Over twenty others seriously affected by the outbreak were hospitalized as one of the government officials Issa Dini Sheikh confirmed to Goobjoog FM.

The outbreak of the disease is said to have come after drinking contaminated water.

El-Adde locality in Hiran region is one of the areas taken over by government forces together with African Union peace-keeping troops but has not yet received proper social services.
