Dispute Committee suspends elections of intelligence chief Yasin Farey

GOOBJOOG NEWS|MOGADISHU: The elections dispute resolution Committee suspended the election of national intelligence director Yasin Farey pending determination of a dispute against it.

The resolution committee directed the Federal Indirect Elections Team (FIET) to hold back the declaration of Yarey to allow it deliver its verdict in seven days.

Prior to Yarey’s election, clan elders and some politicians from Galmudug had protested his candidature.

The Committee upheld the election of deputy prime minister Mahdi Guled mid this month after it initially suspended.
